ISO1. International Standards Organization
2. A rating of film sensitivity (or speed) defined by the International Standards Organization
3. An electronic equivalent to film sensitivity for digital cameras
Aperture1. The opening in the shutter allowing light into the sensor
2. The camera setting controlling the amount of light entering the camera, as expressed as a ratio to focal length, such as f/8
Shutter SpeedHow quickly the shutter opens and closes when a picture is taken, usually expressed in seconds or fractions of a second.
ShutterAn electronic or mechanical device that allows light to reach the sensor for a limited amount of time to take a picture.
Shutter ReleaseThe button that controls the shutter opening to take a picture
Focal LengthThe distance of a lens measured from the focal plane (film or sensor) to the lens element
